DRF is the leading national source of private funding for research in hearing and balance science. Our grants have resulted in treatments for hearing and balance related conditions helping those living with hearing loss and protecting those at risk.
DRF also publishes Hearing Health magazine. Our publication has a circulation of approximately 30,000 and recently won an APEX 2009 Award of Excellence for Magazine & Journal Writing. This valuable consumer resource provides information on technology, treatment, research and issues affecting people with hearing loss.
In celebration of Better Hearing and Speech Month in May, DRF has announced a drawing contest for children, tweens, and teenagers
In celebration of Better Hearing and Speech Month in May, DRF has announced a drawing contest for children and tweens ages 5-7 and 8-12,and teenagers age 13-18. This contest aims to raise awareness about the need to prevent hearing loss and the steps children are taking to protect their hearing. The deadline to submit original artwork is April 16. Three finalists will be selected from each age category and voted on by the public on our website during the weeks of April 19 and 26. A winner from each age category will be announced on May 3 on our website.
